About Home Media Center
Who are we?
We are students of computer science faculty. Name of this subject is "Distributed object programming" (DOP). On this subject, we are trying to learn something about the CORBA, IDL, and other similar things.
Purpose of this project
We are trying to create something like "distributed media juke-box", where would be some media center which knows to play all kind of type audio/video formats. This home media center should replace all electronics apparatus from your home except computer or some other piece of hardware which can be connected on the Internet. Excepting home media centre, we are trying to create this by using all kind of technologies and techniques and programming languages such a C, C++, Java, C#, and so on, in collaboration with web and database technologies with people who don't know to each other.
Benefits of this project
The most benefit is team work and acquisition knowledge about working on the bigger projects. By using home media center you will never have to search your music or video player and codec for specific audio/video format. All you ever need is your computer and connection to the Internet. Tend of this project is that you can activate your video or audio in the specific time by using your mobile phone and other good stuff.
